Maine Chiefs of Police Association
The Maine Chiefs of Police Association has 350+ members including active & retired chiefs, sheriffs and senior law enforcement leaders.
The association actively participates in new training initiatives, policy advancement and progressive law enforcement tactics as the lead association for Maine's Finest. The proud members stand together to improve upon their relationship with the public and become a better prepared to protect the great citizens of our rural state. Information on membership can be obtained by emailing the executive director, non-law enforcement memberships may be available for students or aspiring law enforcement officers. Law enforcement vendors may obtain membership information too.
The Mission of the Maine Chiefs of Police is to secure a closer official and personal relationship among Maine Police Officials; to secure a unity of action in law enforcement matters; to enhance the standards of police personnel, police training and police professionalism generally; to devise ways and means for equality of law enforcement throughout the state of Maine; To advance the prevention and detection of crime; To prescribe to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics; and to promote the profession of law enforcement as an integral and dedicated force in today's society sworn the protection of life and property.
